DJ FACE

While other teenagers were jamming in a bands with the guitars and drums for the feel good feeling, DJ Face decided to play with turntables while dabbling with mixing and scratching.

Taking his passion to a new height at the age of 16, he challenged his skills by joining the DMC World competition. He won the DMC title in 1996 while teaming up with DJ Ken and in 1997 he won the title again for his solo performance.

With his success with DMC, he became a household name in the Malaysian DJing scene, spinning as a resident DJ at renown clubs in Kuala Lumpur and played alongside DJ Cash Money, Jon Carter, Adam Freeland, Freq Nasty, Punk Roc and Roni Syze.

Not wanting to keep his knowledge to himself, Face decided to establish a DJ School. The establishment of Playaz Universe made a huge impact to the DJ Industry with the birth of household names such as like DJ R.J. Funk, DJ T Bone, DJ Fuzz, DJ Uno, DJ Biggie, DJ Blink, DJ C Za, DJ Goldfish and DJ Kid.

In 2004, Face took another bold step forward and spanned his DJ career to UK. Making a great impact in the clubbing scene in London, Manchaster & Birmingham, he was also a part of the international superbrand Godskitchen.

After 5 years of creating waves internationally, DJ Face returned to Malaysia making a reappearance in the local music scene. Being the Original Bad Boy on the Decks with his smooth genre switching from Hip Hop / RnB to Electro Breaks, he has preformed alongside DJ Cash Money and Will I. Am.

Versatile and energetic when it comes to rocking to crowd, DJ Face now spins at Zouk’s Getto Heaven weekly. Undeniably the most prominent name and one of the most experienced players in Malaysian DJing industry, he is now working on a debut album!

With the aim of globalising our local DJ talents, DJ Face has now established Face Da Fader DJ Academy.
